Studies have shown that neuro pathways are formed at a much faster rate when laughing and having fun. We strive to foster a life long love of learning by pursuing active, engaged models of education.

We utilize games, art, stories, projects, rhetorical discussions, and other nonconventional models while emphasizing mathematical reasoning and logic.

By maintaining small class sizes, we are able to individualize learning goals and curriculum.

 FAQs

  • We currently accept ESA and Braintree. We plan to take school choice vouchers starting this fall.

  • We establish daily routines of independent and group work along with stations, taking an outside break mid morning. After lunch we work on individual and collective projects, science experiments, and electives.

  • We draw from a wealth of curriculum from gifted programs to remedial as well as currated courses depending on need and learning style. Math is individualized for each student to move at a personalized pace, not bound by grade level. We may have a 12 yo old working through Algebra while another 12 yo is working through 4th grade math. Learning goals are set collaboratively.

  • Subjects are taught as a group but expectations vary based on each person’s level. Everyone hears the same history lesson, shares in the discussion, and works on the same project, but a second grader might write a sentence, while a fifth grader may write a page.

  • We are not currently accredited, but we have applied for accreditation and are waiting for confirmation.

  • Report cards are given each quarter based on rubrics.

  • A daily rhythm of short, interactive lessons with realistic expectations creates security. Learning goals are decided together, creating ownership. Class agreements are created not dictated. We find all these systems support everyone.
